CAIRO: The Egyptian Administrative Prosecution authority ordered to conduct immediate investigations into the theft of 140 archeological pieces from The Museum of the Faculty of Archeology.

The Authority notified the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to send the international museums photos of the stolen pieces.

The international museums will also receive files and documents on the financial and archeological values of the stolen pieces.

When the museum employees opened the museum, which has been closed since Feb. 10, to restore the carpets in the Islamic Museum they found the museum had been robbed.

Professors and employees blamed faculty administration for the theft.

The museum includes 1950 archeological pieces. It consists of two main halls, one for the Egyptian Archeology Museum, and the other for the Islamic Museum.
