بوش يواصل أكاذيبه: مصر أخبرت أمريكا بامتلاك العراق أسلحة بيولوجية فى محاولة جديدة للرئيس الأمريكى، بوش لتبرئة ذمته من الآثار السلبية للحرب الأمريكية فى العراق، ومحاولاً تحسين صورته أمام الرأى العام العالمى، ادعى بوش أن مصر أبلغته بوجود أسلحة بيولوجية فى العراق قبل عملية الغزو، وزعم الرئيس الأمريكى فى معلومات غير موثقة داخل مذكراته، التى صدرت قبل أيام قليلة، أن مصر أخبرت الجنرال، تومى فرانكس، قائد القيادة الأمريكية الوسطى، والذى أشرف على غزو أفغانستان، بأن العراق لديه أسلحة بيولوجية وستستخدم ضد القوات الأمريكية

أقباط مرشحون من «الوطني» : الشعبية والكفاءة سبب الاختيار.. لا الدين 10 مرشحين دفع بهم الحزب الوطني علي قوائمه للمنافسة في الانتخابات بينهم سيدة واحدة علي مقعد الكوتة.. خطوة رآها البعض غير كفاية في ظل الدعوات المتكررة لمشاركة الأقباط في الحياة السياسية وأن علي الحزب الوطني كأغلبية أن يدفع بعدد أكبر من المرشحين. بينما رأي الأغلبية أن المجمعات الانتخابية للحزب هي التي اختارت علي أساس الكفاءة والقدرة علي المنافسة وليس العقيدة هي التي حددت عدد المرشحين، إضافة للعدد الذي تقدم أصلا للمجمعات الانتخابية من الأقباط لم يكن كبيرًا.

البابا يقرر إلغاء احتفال عيد جلوسه رقم 39 تضامنًا مع الكنيسة بالعراق قرر قداسة البابا شنودة الثالث بابا الإسكندرية وبطريرك الكرازة المرقسية، إلغاء احتفالية عيد جلوسه رقم 39، وقال البابا شنودة " أن الاحتفال يقتصر هذا العام على لقاء مع أعضاء المجمع المقدس فى السيمنار الخاص بهم".كان البابا قد قرر عقد احتفالية عيد الجلوس رقم 39 بالكاتدرائية الكبرى بالعباسية بدلاً من دير الأنبا بيشوى بوادى النطرون، الذى كان مقرراً سلفاً عقده به، إلا أن البابا تراجع عن القرار بناءً على طلب من الأساقفة ومحبيه، الذين ينوون الحضور من مختلف محافظات مصر
