Israel: We will discuss increasing Egyptian security in Sinai

Tel Aviv and the government of Israel will review and discuss any Egyptian request to increase troop deployment in the Sinai Peninsula, according to an Israeli source. "Keeping the region stable is the goal of both Egypt and Israel," the source added.
Ruling military council member Maj. Gen. Ismail Etman earlier said that Egypt already increased its force presence in Sinai and at the borders, and many more are to be sent there as well.
"The David Camp peace treaty will not be reformed or changed without an agreement between both sides," said Etman.
“Our main purpose is to secure Egyptian borders and thwart any foreign attack,” he added. "Egypt will increase its military forces, armors and border guards. The Israelis have not disputed this increase until now.”
