CAIRO: Tahrir Square was calm this morning. Yesterday, a group of youth tried to break into the square because they oppose the presence of Central Security forces (CSF) there.

CSF have increased their presence at the entrances of Tahrir Square and around the central garden. Many leaders and commanders of the SCF have been in Tahrir Square. More than 15 Central Security armored trucks are located in Bab el-Louk, Talaat Harb and Mohamed Mahmoud streets.

Traffic movement is normal today after yesterday’s brief clashes.

In related news, many youth groups came to visit the square, take photos with the army forces and visit the Egyptian Museum.

Tahrir Square was the epicenter of Egypt’s January uprising, which overthrew the country’s 30-year president and his regime.
